SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION

Through our care programs, our physicians provide in-person medical care and education 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in the home or at the workplace. Carena programs improve access to medical care, resulting in lower costs and better outcomes for our clients. We combine the best of modern evidence-based medicine with the service and attention of an old-fashioned house call. Carena services clients regionally throughout the United States .

We are expanding our Seattle regional operation to include a full-time Nurse Clinic Manager to support our local physician group. This is an exempt position, with excellent benefits, and reports to the Director of Clinical Operations.

The Nurse Clinic Manager is responsible for Carena's service standard within the region. Ensuring daily practices are in accordance with Federal, State, and JCAHO requirements and exceeding our organizational goals. The Nurse Clinic Manager monitors physician activity, tracks service metrics, and coordinates activity between the care coordinator group and the physician group. This position works directly with the Director of Clinical Services and others to help ensure client satisfaction, and will have a role on the team that works toward service changes to meet evolving client requirements while balancing the business needs of the organization.

This position works in close collaboration with Carena's clinical operations team, care coordinators, data analysts, technology team, chief medical officer, marketing, communications, and executive team to help deliver superior customer service to our clients

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure daily practice is consistent with Federal, State, and JHACO regulations
• Assists with the physician new hire process by facilitating orientation and training
• Reviews physician staffing and service metrics with Regional Medical Director
• Assists Regional Medical Director (RMD) with practice management, including scheduling
• Partners with RMD to organize and execute monthly Physician staff meetings
• Orders medical equipment, supplies and medication
• Responsible for regional “Employee Health” for physician group
• Coordinates physician continuing medical education opportunities
• Assists with outreach to the Medical community
• Coordinates physician vetting process including the scheduling of ride-along activities, additional meetings and travel plans with prospective Physician candidates
• Tracks and manages all candidate correspondence
• Completes physician credentialing for all necessary payors, hospital privilege forms, and liability coverage
• Monitors that “MD requirements” are up to date

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

The Nurse Clinic Manager must function independently, providing the opportunity for developing standards, monitoring operational performance, and management of the physician support network. The Nurse Manager acts as a change agent and transitional leader, inspires a shared vision and motivates the staff to provide care within the framework of a learning organization.  With the opportunity of organizing, planning, directing, coordinating, and empowering patient care services, the manager supports Carena Policies and Procedures and Mission Statement and ensures that services provided are efficient, effective and consistent with the goals and policies of Carena.  The Nurse Clinic Manager faces the challenges of maintaining positive relationships between the physicians, the clients, nurse lines, the health care system; and the patient service representatives to achieve organizational goals. 

•  Current RN License
•  BA Degree
•  Two years of Clinic Management experience, nurse line experience a plus
•  Proven written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
•  Proficient in MS Office Professional
