Carena is currently recruiting full-time and part-time board-certified family medicine physicians for our regional service area in northern California, as well as other regions across the country.
Carena provides a new and unique practice environment for physicians where care and education is delivered through a house-call model. Carena physicians deliver medical care and education 24/7 for urgent concerns. We combine the best of modern medicine with the service and attention of an old-fashioned house call. Instead of seeing 20 to 30 patients a day, Carena physicians see three to five.

This is a new practice with great growth potential! The Carena service is being used with great success in other parts of the country, such as the Puget Sound region. Our model improves access to medical care, reduces unnecessary ER visits, and provides valuable referrals to community physicians, while offering professional satisfaction to physicians.
As a Carena physician, you will work from home until you are dispatched to a patient visit. You will have a regional clinical support teamand receive a competitive salary with excellent benefits and additional earning potential. Daytime, evening, nighttime, and weekend shifts are available, and we offer flexible hours. Carena provides all equipment, phones, and supplies, with mileage reimbursement. Carena uses state-of-the-art technology, including a Web-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Board certified
- Family Medicine, or dual training in Internal Medicine/ Pediatrics
- Comfortable working with technology such as EMR and GPS systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both in-person and on the phone)
- First-rate organizational skills
- Ability to work independently with a team approach
- Enthusiasm about the opportunity to provide health care in this innovative manner
- Valid state driver’s license & automobile insurance
- Licensure in state of California (or in the process of obtaining)
