Benjamin Green, M.D.
Benjamin Green was born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, a southern New Jersey suburb of Philadelphia. An opportunity to play intercollegiate football led him to Harvard University. While there, as an anthropology major, he decided to pursue a career in medicine. After Harvard, he returned to his home state and attended Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He aspired to practice the full scope of medicine, treating young and old alike. Family medicine was the perfect fit and he began his residency at the University of Pennsylvania Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Green met his fiance, Aurelie, while at the university. Her desire to start her residency in family medicine in Seattle led the two of them to the Pacific Northwest.
Dr. Green has a strong interest in sports medicine and adolescent health. While at the University of Pennsylvania, he spent time working with local high school and college athletes and also participated actively in the Keystone State Games as a member of the medical staff. In addition, Dr. Green valued his time spent with adolescents and saw the potential for educating and guiding young patients on future health and life issues.
Spending time with his patients is important to Dr. Green. He believes that effective care is best achieved when a true doctor-patient relationship can be forged. The Carena model of care focuses on sufficient and appropriate allocation of time with patients, which is often lacking in current practice models. He is excited to be a part of the Carena team and looks forward to meeting and interacting with his patients in a "less-hurried environment".
In his spare time, Dr. Green enjoys all athletic endeavors and participates actively in basketball, golf, and fishing. He and his fiance also enjoy hiking, biking, and cooking, and are excited to begin their Pacific Northwest adventure here in Seattle.
