Robert Bernstein, M.D.
Originally from the Washington, D.C., area, Dr. Bernstein moved to Seattle in 1990 for a residency in family medicine at Providence Hospital. Since completing his training, he has practiced in a variety of settings in the Seattle area. Most recently Dr. Bernstein practiced general family medicine in Burien, and immediately prior to joining Carena had his own consulting practice in preventive medicine.
In addition to his interest in preventive medicine, Dr. Bernstein enjoys teaching and research in medicine. He currently teaches at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Bernstein believes that the best outcomes occur when patients are knowledgeable and empowered to manage their own health. He views Carena as an ideal model for patient-centered care and education.
Dr. Bernstein lives in the Montlake neighborhood of Seattle and loves to bike and spend time with his wife and three sons.
